It's a good thing you didn't choose to use an RPG Engine to create a platformer, Game Maker and Multimedia fusion are a lot better. (for platformers that is)

Could you eloberate a bit? Like showing an example screenie or something? Anyways, the game probably uses a font that's not installed on your PC.

No you didn't do anything wrong, you just have to wait until the video actually shows up, it might take a while with so many videos on a single page.
EDIT: Apparantly your video IS a big white square.
